2007-2008 was the last year of MASWCD's state level involvement in
the poster/mural and video youth education contests. SWCDs are free to continue at the local and Area level.
The Minnesota
Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts (MASWCD) developed the youth
education contest materials highlighted below. Participating SWCDs
may in turn provide the
materials to the schools in their communities.
The education
materials include information which teachers and their students can use to become
more familiar with their natural environment and learn what they can do to
become better stewards of our land and water.
The materials also
include information about contests in which the students can participate should
the local SWCD provide the opportunity: poster/mural
contest and video contest.
