The MASWCD youth education contests
were
designed to give students an understanding of the importance of the local soil
and water conservation district in conserving our soil and water
resources. The theme for the 2007-2008 contest was "Trees - Rooted
in Our Future."
POSTER CONTEST
The MASWCD Poster Contest
was divided into two categories:
Mural and Poster. Fifth
and sixth grade students were eligible to enter the contest. 2007-2008
contest winners received cash prizes and award certificates. In
addition, the first place poster contest winner received a scholarship to
conservation camp. Winners for the 2007-2008 contests are as
follows:
